Roadtrip 2021-2022 Winter: Seaside - Yachats - Brookings

Day 33 - Lone Ranch - super low tide

Our Brookings back yard - the key thing here - the daffodils are out!!

Ella patiently waits hopefully. We get morning coffee - will she get a dog snack?

So many things to contemplate at the Cosmic Grind drive through coffee stand at the Brookings Harbour.

Yes, really, truly, someone has named their ice cream shop "Slugs 'N Stones". Who's cool idea was that?

The Team keeps a watchful eye out for the Black Helicopters on the run-in to Lone Ranch.

Today's super low tide has made the rocks usually just offshore completely accessible.

This vantage point is not usually avaialable at all - only at these low tide times - lucky to have late afternoon light too.

Look at that fur fly!

Seaweed everywhere.

So much diversity on display. Many folks leaving bare footprints too - like a mark of early Spring freedom.

The tidepools really are full of these colours.

Mussels here are in huge supply - and many are enormous!

Our day started with blooming daffs - and our exit path from the beach features little purple periwinkles. Flowers popping everywhere!
